Building Bridges
Making Saint Louis a better place for all!
America’s Birthday Parade Thursday, July 4, 2024
Since 1878, America's Birthday Parade has been a magnificent display of vibrant floats, live performances, and some of the region's finest marching bands. This quintessential summer event, set against the backdrop of the towering Gateway Arch in downtown St. Louis, is a tribute to our city, our community, and our nation - embodying the American spirit from coast to coast. As the parade makes its way along Market Street, throngs of onlookers, adorned in patriotic red, white, and blue, gather to witness this grand celebration of service to community and country.
Our theme this year is “Building Bridges”, as we celebrate service to community and country:
“Building Bridges” to our history – Celebrating the 150th anniversary of the opening of the historic Eads Bridge, the oldest & strongest bridge spanning the mighty Mississippi River.
“Building Bridges” across our community – Connecting and celebrating with individuals from across our great city from all walks of life.
“Building Bridges” to the future – Leveraging and learning from the strong foundation of past traditions to bring the future alive.
“Building Bridges” of opportunity – Recognizing the work of community/ charitable organizations creating paths & opportunities for all in our community to prosper, especially under-served families, minority entrepreneurs, military, and first responders.
